Chasing Content - August 2012

"Chase" by Scott Sandars via Flickr
Let's paddle down the river to explore what was happening last year at this time in the monthly feature we call "Chasing Content."

We do this at the start of every month to relive moments that might otherwise stayed buried in the archives.

So jump in the boat, grab a paddle, and let's explore the archives from one year ago.

Read all of the posts from last August . . .

or just these favourites.

An Interview with the Author of The Complete Idiots Guide to Conducting Music

I interviewed Michael Miller and talked to him about music education in middle school. His book was a great read and helped prepare me for my first year as a music teacher. You can download this interview to listen to at your leisure, or you can stream it for free.

Kelly Clarkson in Toronto

I just checked out this post and relived a great concert from last summer.  That is the magic of blogging. And if you were at the school, you can take a trip down memory lane with me as well. If you missed it, you can experience a small portion of it with my mini-review and the posted performance video as well. Enjoy!

Practice vs Practise

The traditional way of spelling practice is falling by the wayside. I make sure I spell it correctly depending on whether I am using it as a verb or a noun. Do you?

My Screwdriver is Sonic

I love my customizable sonic screwdriver. And since this purchase, I have acquire more Doctor Who merchandise. I can't wait for the 50th Anniversary show later this year.

Batman 3 Didn`t Do It For Me

The Dark Knight Rises could have been so much better than it was. The story didnt quite live up to its own premise. This year`s Man of Steel did a better job, although truth be told, the first Superman movie from 1978 is far superior and quite possibly the best superhero movie ever made.

Music for Skaters

I made this mixtape for all the skateboarders out there. Download it for free and bring it to the skatepark with you. Perfect music to skate to.

Thanks for Chasing Content with me!
