This is one of the best compliments I've ever received. It really made my day and I just had to share it with all of you.
"Washed away in a tide of SEO-grabbing blog posts, there's actually quite a bit of interesting, entertaining, valuable, and just plain writing out there... if you look for it. Call me a dreamer, but wouldn't it be great if there was a hip hop magazine that somehow managed to stay in print and keep the following writers on payroll? If only... I was very surprised and quite honoured to see my name included on this inaugural list. I am thankful that my efforts here are getting recognized by a notable blog.
I would love to be paid for my writing. I hope it happens one day. It's pretty inspiring to see a comment like this. Thanks Ivan!
Hi Chase .. that's wonderful .. and how great that you've been recognised.
ReplyDeleteI'll be back to read the interviews on your previous posts - which I skated past!
Interesting to learn more about the music industry ..
& long may it last and that in time you get some payback .. I'm sure you will .. well done - that's excellent news .. enjoy today .. Hilary
Hi Hilary,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy doing those radio interviews. Transcribing them for the blog is a laborious task but one that I believe is worthwhile. I'm glad to have gotten some recognition for it.
The blog that featured me here was recently in a magazine and listed as one of the top 50 hip-hop blogs as well. I respect and admire Ivan Rott and all that he has done with Hip Hop is Read. Great blog!
