I've been busily transcribing the interview I did with Saukrates this past weekend at the Toronto Freedom Festival. You'll be able to hear it on the radio show Saturday night and it'll be up on the blog next week.
Until then, I wanted to share this clip with you. Saukrates performed the festival with a live band and he put on a great show. I especially liked the fact that he brought out D-sisive on stage with him to perform a song from his new album.
I've been a fan of both of these emcees since they first started releasing music. They both have new albums coming out this summer as well. I'm really looking forward to that.
Until then, enjoy this track and follow them on Twitter.

Hi Chase .. well it drowned out my softly playing classical music!
ReplyDeleteI thought I was going to get some Greek?!
The two emcees were certainly engaging the crowd .. sounds like a fun time .. for you!
Have a good weekend .. Hilary
Hi Hliary,
ReplyDeleteSaukrates is pronounced 'Socrates' so I see how you might have thought that based on the spelling alone.
Anyway, this event really surprised me. I'll be writing about it more after some of the segments air this Saturday night over night on DOPEfm 93.3 CFMU.
I'm glad you gave it a listen. Thanks for the comment.
